Job Summary

The Rental Power Generation Field Technician I is a critical role within our team at Warren Power & Machinery. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality repair services on equipment to ensure maximum value for work performed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics, ensuring timely and efficient repair services.
  • Paperwork and Data Management: Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job tasks accurately and timely, including work orders, parts orders, and safety protocols.
  • Technical Expertise: Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Provide accurate information to management for quoting, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, and give recommendations for repairs, working closely with the rental team.
  • Quality Control: Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software, and order processing systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme temperatures.
  • Travel Requirements: Required travel up to 40%.
