Job Description

Hobart Service, a leading provider of commercial food equipment service solutions, is seeking a skilled Parts Coordinator I to join our team.

As a key member of our Parts Department, you will be responsible for allocating and distributing parts and materials for service repairs and customer orders. Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining inventory control systems, including updating computer records and assisting with audits.
  • Requisitioning parts from our Troy, OH warehouse, following up on purchase orders and correspondence involving back orders.
  • Assisting in the training or cross-training of other individuals in the office.
  • Receiving parts from the warehouse, verifying with packing slips, and matching parts invoices with purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Processing Return Apparatus Tags (RAT) involving warranty claims and verifying Warranty and Maintenance automatic scale/wrapper credits.
  • Assisting with replenishment of truck inventories and handling parts transfers to other Hobart Branches.
  • Handling over-the-counter parts sales to walk-in customers and stocking and pulling parts, as well as assisting with various job functions involved in tracking consignment.
  • Assisting in preparing reports on order status, parts & material shortages.
  • Staying up-to-date on new products and related parts required for various modifications and keeping bulletins updated.
  • Processing parts mail orders from customers and handling telephone orders from customers for parts, including writing up orders and quoting prices.
  • Following up with customers and service personnel for availability of parts, upon request.
  • Writing up credits for returned merchandise and handling telephone requests from technicians for parts.
  • Following up on all pending credits, Cycle counts/inventories
