At Marathon Health, we're seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. As a key component of our care team, you'll work closely with a primary care physician to deliver exceptional patient care and provide a personalized experience to our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care. You'll be responsible for escorting patients to room, ensuring exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked, and reviewing previous medical information to inform the provider.

Additional duties include taking vitals, performing blood draws, giving injections, and assisting with procedures. You'll also partner with other members of the care team to develop individual patient plans of care, including identifying and addressing gaps in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked
  • Review previous medical information and gather relevant updated health information from the patient
  • Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and assist with procedures
  • Partner with other members of the care team to develop individual patient plans of care
  • Front desk duties, including patient scheduling, medical record requests, and abstraction

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care
  • Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
  • National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
