Key Holder Role

In this pivotal position, you will guide your team to reach new heights daily. As a key holder at Filson, your responsibilities will include motivating, inspiring, and developing sales associates to deliver a premier customer experience, reminiscent of our founder's vision. This management team member will also oversee operational standards, visual merchandising, and promotional events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer needs and act as a knowledgeable outfitter, preparing guests for their next adventure through superior product expertise.
  • Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training store personnel.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering a culture of open communication.
  • Implement a training strategy and offer real-time coaching to enhance key performance indicators, linking employee actions to sales metrics.
  • Support marketing initiatives through in-store promotions, customer outreach, and community engagement.
  • Compile reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability and service excellence.
  • Uphold Filson's Standards and Operating Procedures to ensure brand consistency.
  • Ensure a safe and clean store environment for both employees and customers.
  • Drive a performance culture through effective customer service and sales management.
  • Enforce company policies, programs, and procedures to support store operations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Outstanding sales abilities, customer service skills, and client relationship management.
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficient in utilizing data to inform decision-making.
  • Experience in developing and nurturing talent.
  • Friendly demeanor with a strong service orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC-based applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Capability to reach overhead.
  • Ability to retrieve items from shelves.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, or stoop as necessary.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation Type: Hourly
  • Wage: Compensation is negotiable based on experience and qualifications, starting at $23.20 per hour.
  • Bonus Potential: Eligibility for monthly bonuses based on store performance and referral bonuses for new hires.
  • Paid Time Off: Available for employees working over 30 hours per week, including 10 corporate holidays, accrued vacation days, and 2 volunteer days.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for employees working over 20 hours per week, along with a 401k plan with company matching, employee assistance programs, pet insurance, merchandise discounts, and a complimentary employee bag after 90 days of employment.
