Compassionate Resident Care Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic caregiver to provide essential support to our residents at Edgewood Assisted Living Center. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, a friendly disposition, and the capability to deliver various levels of assistance to our clients.
Shift Availability: We offer 12-hour shifts, including first and third shifts.

Position Purpose: The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all aspects of the residents' personal care and service plans are executed while treating each resident with dignity and respect, fostering their independence and self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care and customer service to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in their service plans, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Encourage residents to participate in life enrichment activities and meals.
- Maintain residents' highest level of independence and self-reliance.
- Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, including call lights.
- Utilize assistive devices as specified in care plans and policies.
- Monitor residents for any changes in their physical, emotional, cognitive, or behavioral conditions.
- Communicate any observed changes or concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess an empathetic and positive attitude towards caring for elderly individuals. Preferred qualifications include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Competency Evaluated Nursing Assistant (CENA), Home Health Aide, or equivalent experience. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, able to read and write in English, and capable of fulfilling the physical and mental demands of the position. Successful completion of state-mandated criminal background checks and random drug testing is required. Experience in memory care is essential.
Work Schedule: Work schedules are posted electronically, and it is the responsibility of the employee to verify their assigned days and hours.
Compensation: Pay rate is $15.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
