We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate donor reactions and respond accordingly, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion processes.
- Conduct medical history interviews and physical examinations, as well as review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- Support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community, as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Hourly wage range: $[insert range]
