Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with ResCare Community Living, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities. Our team is dedicated to supporting individuals in achieving their goals and living fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and vital signs.
- Administer medications, provide routine care, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and case managers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Document patient progress, outcomes, and any changes in medical condition or needs.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment by maintaining infection control policies and reporting any incidents or concerns.
- Order supplies and medications as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
- Completed post-secondary coursework to facilitate licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Knowledge of individual service plans, including understanding of client rights and health needs.
- Proof of current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing from the state(s) of practice.
- CPR Certified.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy, and compassion.
- In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations.
- Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for several medical conditions.
