POSITION SUMMARY:


The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering nursing care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or healthcare provider to patients across all age groups. This role employs the nursing process in alignment with the mission and vision of Piedmont Healthcare, adhering to organizational policies and demonstrating a commitment to professional development and accountability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


The LPN collaborates with ancillary staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality nursing care. This position requires a blend of compassion, technical skills, and holistic patient care.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited LPN program is essential.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
New graduates from an accredited nursing program are welcomed to apply.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:
A current LPN license in the State of Georgia or a valid NLC/eNLC Multistate License is mandatory. BLS certification is also required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred candidates will demonstrate clinical proficiency in the specialty area for which they are applying. Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous. For those working in the Emergency Department, ALS/ACLS and PALS certifications are required. LPNs new to the specialty must complete necessary certifications within six months of employment, while experienced Emergency Department nurses have six months to obtain PALS certification.
