Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in a home-like setting.
Responsibilities:- Provide personalized care to clients, adhering to their individualized plans of care and promoting their dignity and independence.
- Monitor clients' vital signs and report any abnormal findings to ensure timely interventions.
- Administer medications, feedings, oxygen, and other treatments as needed, while documenting the results of these interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment by maintaining infection control policies and reporting any potential communicable diseases or infections.
- Accurately document all nursing actions, communication, and progress towards established goals, ensuring that all relevant information is shared with the care team.
- Order and manage supplies, medications, and feedings to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Work closely with physicians to ensure that all client needs are met in accordance with their instructions.
- Investigate and document incidents involving clients, ensuring that all necessary personnel are notified and that the individual is examined and treated as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on medical equipment and report any faulty equipment to the designated maintenance team.
- Current licensure as an LPN or LVN in good standing from the state(s) of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to work in a home-like setting and adapt to changing situations.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, sit, and walk for extended periods, with the capacity to lift 50 pounds using proper body mechanics.
- Knowledge of individualized service plans, including understanding of client rights and health needs.
- Completion of post-secondary coursework to facilitate licensure as an LPN or LVN.
