We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our team at EverStaff in Austin. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of family law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of legal documents, including petitions, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests related to family law cases.
  • Conduct legal research on family law matters and provide relevant case law, statutes, and legal precedents to attorneys.
  • Manage and organize case files, maintain case calendars, and track important deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other relevant parties to gather information, schedule meetings, and follow up on case developments.
  • Draft and prepare legal correspondence, settlement agreements, and other legal documents for attorney review.
  • Assist with discovery by preparing subpoenas, organizing exhibits, and compiling financial documentation.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions as needed to assist attorneys in real-time case management.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (or Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably with a focus on family law.
  • Strong knowledge of family law practices and procedures, including familiarity with court filings and local rules.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of e-filing systems and procedures is a plus.
