Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Dispatcher to join our team at TMD Staffing. As a Logistics Dispatcher, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow within our yard, as well as providing proper dock setup and coordinating with customers, contract drivers, and internal service representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and problem-solve pick-ups and deliveries with contract drivers, partner carriers, rail operators, and port operators.
  • Traffic Management: Ensure safe and efficient traffic flow within the yard.
  • Dock Setup: Provide proper dock setup by maintaining transporting containers and trailers, as instructed by the Operations team.
  • Communication: Communicate daily with customers, contract drivers, steamship terminal personnel, and internal service representatives.
  • Documentation: Record and audit all documents for equipment tracking.
  • Container Management: Track, trace, and report container activity.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance against standards and recommend corrective action to management.
  • Customer Service: Develop and maintain a positive working rapport with customers, terminal operators, and contract drivers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year minimum intermodal dispatching experience.
  • Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and web-based software.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical: Analytical and organized, with the ability to focus on details and compare data.
