The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay. This role is crucial in maximizing room revenue and occupancy.
Responsibilities:- Assist the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager in ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service.
- Maximize room revenue through effective room merchandising and sales strategies.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of guest interactions, including room assignments, check-in/check-out times, and any special requests or issues.
- Ensure that all front desk operations are running smoothly and efficiently, including check-in/check-out processes, room key management, and guest communication.
- Provide training and guidance to front desk staff on hotel policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and food and beverage, to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Identify and resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stay up-to-date on hotel policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and excellence in guest service.
- At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- College course work in a related field is helpful.
- Previous supervisory responsibility is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, including the ability to handle guest objections and disputes to satisfactory results.
The Front Desk Supervisor will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests, staff, and management on a regular basis. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
