About Our Integrated Engineering Design Group:
Our Integrated Engineering Design (IED) group delivers comprehensive engineering solutions to a diverse clientele, focusing on sectors such as transit, telecommunications, waste management, higher education, and food and beverage facilities. Our team is recognized for its expertise in creating reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new projects and retrofits.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Systems Commissioning Specialist, you will:
- Engage in all phases of commissioning projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Conduct engineering design reviews and prepare commissioning scripts and reports.
- Oversee client-site testing and manage the training of on-site personnel.
- Draft equipment pre-start-up and start-up procedures.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive commissioning documentation.
- Prepare detailed commissioning test procedures and reports.
- Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other project tracking tools.
- Compile comprehensive reports with recommendations for optimizing building operations.
- Review design criteria, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Participate in commissioning activity meetings and interface with contractors and vendors.
- Conduct tests and compile results for various building MEP systems.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering service delivery organization or consulting environment.
- Experience with MEP systems, particularly in data center or mission-critical settings.
- A Technical/Technologist Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Licensure as a PE or EIT in Electrical Discipline is advantageous.
- LEED AP accreditation and certifications such as CXA, AABC, or ACG are preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on technical writing and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- A solid understanding of MEP systems and controls design, installation, and operation.
- The ability to travel domestically and potentially internationally.
