RN - OLGMC 9S Telemetry Nurse - Full Time Weekend Shifts

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our patients in the telemetry unit. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities- Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience in telemetry nursing, with a strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Certification in a clinical specialty area, such as critical care or cardiology.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to coach and develop other nurses.
