Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Weekend Shift position on the OLGMC 8T Post Op unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver high-quality patient care and make informed decisions.
- Assess learning needs and implement effective teaching strategies to promote patient education and empowerment.
- Communicate and delegate tasks effectively to ensure seamless collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Manage nursing resources and prioritize tasks to optimize patient outcomes and workflow.
- Embody a customer-centric approach and strive for excellence in patient satisfaction and employee morale.
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- Certification in a clinical specialty area
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Windows-style applications
This role requires frequent exertion of 10 to 20 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force. The incumbent will work in a patient care area and may be exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue.
