Job Summary:
The County of Galveston, Texas is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodian. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our county buildings and premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain county buildings and premises, including offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and mops.
- Restock supplies and materials as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The Custodian will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
