Job Summary

Galveston County, TX is seeking a skilled Custodian Assistant to join their team. As a Custodian Assistant, you will be responsible for performing entry-level custodial work, including cleaning and caring for county buildings and premises, and maintaining custodial equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced environment and develop your skills in a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform custodial functions such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, spray waxing, and floor stripping.
* Maintain restrooms, replenish supplies, and apply cleaning chemicals as needed.
* Perform carpet maintenance and clean office furniture, walls, windows, and floors.
* Empty trash and report needed repairs as appropriate.

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Experience in custodial work preferred.
* Current valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license.
* CJIS compliance.
