Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Process Improvement Engineer, you will collaborate with Department Heads to establish stable and predictable processes that meet operational targets with minimal variation. Your role will involve developing and documenting systems for monitoring and controlling processes, as well as providing engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. You will work closely with Department Heads to enhance process efficiency and equipment reliability.
Essential Duties:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with Department Heads to develop process setups by identifying and defining key process input settings.
- Creating and documenting process control methods that equip operators with the necessary knowledge to perform their tasks effectively.
- Applying statistical analysis and methodologies to assess process capabilities, monitor ongoing performance, and validate improvements.
Additional Responsibilities:
You will utilize your expertise in technology, production methods, and equipment capabilities to:
- Design and enhance manufacturing processes and related fixtures that align with continuous improvement and cost-efficiency goals.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams while adhering to product and equipment specifications.
- Ensure processes are safe, functional, and validated to operate at their intended capacity, delivering high-quality products.
- Conduct tests on complete units and components under operational conditions to evaluate design proposals and gather data for development and quality control.
- Identify and implement improvements in work methods and procedures to enhance product quality and eliminate operational issues.
- Perform quality assurance assessments on existing manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools.
- Support production as the technical lead for operating and maintaining plant equipment.
- Continuously analyze manufacturing process flows to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Drive process control innovation in collaboration with senior management.
- Recommend suitable software solutions and automate manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with maintenance teams.
- Adhere to all company policies, including safety and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and methodologies.
