Position Overview

We are looking for a Landscape Project Director to oversee and direct strategies across various projects. The ideal candidate will be a highly knowledgeable leader in project delivery, consistently striving to enhance the quality of project outcomes. A collaborative team player who can operate both independently and as part of a team is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Exhibiting exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrating a high level of self-motivation, adaptability, and ingenuity.
  • Managing projects from initial concept through to construction administration.
  • Collaborating effectively with both internal and external partners.
  • Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration.
  • Upholding and promoting our office's mission and values, including curiosity, inclusion, and collaboration, through a cooperative design approach.
  • Meeting project performance metrics, conceptual goals, and timelines established by leadership.
  • Having comprehensive project experience, including at least 1-2 significant projects in Singapore, ideally involving public parks or biophilic designs that integrate landscape and architecture.
  • Exhibiting versatility across various landscape scales and types, from residential gardens to community parks and urban landscape planning.
  • Engaging with local and regional projects effectively.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans that adhere to budgetary constraints while coordinating staffing needs with studio leadership.
  • Managing sub-consultant contracts and scopes of work, identifying additional service opportunities, and preparing proposals for review.
  • Mentoring project teams with a focus on enhancing technical knowledge, workflow, design tool strategies, code compliance, and construction management.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and quality control on project deliverables, maintaining a high standard of technical accuracy.
  • Taking on the role of Project Designer for smaller projects when necessary.
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of office standards and professional development resources to ensure consistent high-quality design delivery.
  • Encouraging a positive work culture among peers and teams, actively participating in the office environment.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

  • 6-9+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
  • A Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution. Candidates with a degree in Architecture and experience in landscape design will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in software such as REVIT, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bluebeam.
  • Accredited Landscape Architect status is preferred.
  • Knowledge of tropical climate plant species.
  • Proficiency in at least one language (other than English) relevant to Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region.
