Job Description:

The Distribution Optimization Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of distribution projects, from planning and execution to completion. This role will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, operations, logistics, and finance, to ensure the successful delivery of products to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
    • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.
    • Track project metrics and report on performance to key stakeholders.
    • Site selection, building specification, and infrastructure.
    • MHE equipment selection/evaluation
    • Safety/security sufficiency and monitoring milestones of site readiness to assure timely completion of distribution center launches.
  • Distribution Network Optimization:
    • Evaluate and optimize existing distribution channels to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Explore new distribution opportunities to expand market reach and increase sales.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with distribution operations.
    • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution project management or a similar role.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The compensation range for this position is approximately $94k - $123k and will be based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and education.
