Role of the Research Grants Administrator:

This role is essential for the effective management of post-award activities related to sponsored projects. Responsibilities include overseeing reimbursements, processing purchase orders, managing service agreements, handling invoice payments, and coordinating payroll distributions, stipends, and tuition benefits. The administrator will also track and evaluate subcontracts and sub-award agreements, ensuring compliance with grant regulations while maintaining budget forecasts. This position plays a vital role in supporting the research initiatives of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for all post-award processes within the department.
  • Ensure accurate allocation and management of research funds, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and protocols.
  • Assist principal investigators in preparing essential documentation for post-award submissions to external funding agencies.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned, with the understanding that the omission of specific tasks does not limit the supervisor's ability to assign logically related responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. The degree must be obtained by the start date of employment. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Experience in generating both verbal and written reports.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is between $51,000 and $70,708.76. The university offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, retirement savings options, tuition assistance, wellness programs, and various voluntary benefits.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
