Job Title: Early Childhood Education, Preschool Master Teacher Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Education Master Teacher Instructor to join our team at College of the Canyons. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our preschool program, with a focus on providing a high-quality educational experience that meets the needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor students in our preschool program, using a child-centered approach that emphasizes play-based learning and hands-on activities.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards for early childhood education.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, including those with special needs.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Current Child Development Master Teacher Permit or higher.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with preschool children in an instructional capacity.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, parents, and colleagues.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations.
