Position Overview

GIIN is in search of a Vice President of Information Technology to lead essential IT initiatives that support the strategic deployment of resources for impactful investment. This role is critical in aligning technology strategies with organizational objectives and compliance requirements, ensuring efficient operations and significant outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate, manage, and execute the IT Strategy Plan to meet organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership regarding emerging technologies and digital advancements to foster innovation and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary connection between IT and other departments, ensuring their requirements are integrated into the IT strategy and aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Establish governance frameworks to guarantee that IT investments and initiatives yield value and align with business priorities.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and standards to protect data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain a robust internal data infrastructure that delivers reliable data sources for business intelligence, analytics, and reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Oversee IT budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation across projects and operations.
  • Implement comprehensive cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational data and maintain stakeholder confidence.
  • Identify and mitigate IT risks, including cybersecurity threats and technological obsolescence.
  • Manage staffing needs, whether permanent or contractual, to effectively support business operations.
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions and compliance with service agreements.
  • Utilize data and insights to support analytics and drive growth in the community and impact investing sectors.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree (MBA or MS in IT) is preferred.
  • Over 7 years of experience in senior IT management roles with a proven history of leadership and strategic IT planning.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to mentor teams, encourage innovation, and drive organizational change.
  • Experience in formulating and executing IT strategies that align with business goals, including digital transformation and large-scale IT projects.
  • Expertise in IT budget management and resource allocation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex IT and business challenges.
  • Proficient in managing IT systems in accordance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing vendor relationships to optimize IT service delivery.
