To thrive in this job, you'll need to be proficient in technology, able to type, and answer phones. Previous experience or knowledge in healthcare is not necessary; we provide comprehensive training. However, you must be prepared to see illness and injuries, up to date on all vaccinations, pass a drug test, and pass a background check prior to hire.

The salary for this position is estimated at $14.69 - $19.30 per hour, based on the location and requirements of the job. Here's what you can expect working as a Patient Intake Coordinator:
  • Working on computers and answering phones to intake information in a busy environment. You'll collect patient and insurance data across multiple programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients who may be ill or worried. You'll listen carefully to ease their anxiety, ask follow-up questions, and build rapport in real-time.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet assisting patients complete their registration. With varying health plans and coverage, you'll require knowledge through training to ensure accurate data collection.

Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service experience
