Description

Global Elite Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Aviation Security Company.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all security functions are performed in accordance with TSA regulations and corporate policies.
  • Responsible for station staffing, and development of scheduling procedures, including initial badging and licensing.
  • Responsible to ensure that staffing and scheduled hours are in accordance with contractual agreement with our client.
  • Evaluate station attendance and performance deficiencies and administer corrective measures in accordance with Human Resources policies.
  • Administer payroll reporting within the established guidelines and deadlines.
  • Ensure cost-effective measures across the station.
  • Responsible for station compliance relating to all reporting procedures; administer procedural changes and ensure they are communicated effectively and efficiently with staff.
  • Conduct daily briefings and occasional staff meetings.
  • Working with the station administrator and coordinate with the Training and Compliance department on all training (initial and recurrent) of station personnel.
  • Safeguarding company equipment and vehicles.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

Qualifications:
  • Must have 3+ years management experience.
  • A proactive thinker with an outgoing personality who is comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with company colleagues and employees.
  • HS Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record- eligibility to drive company vehicles.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify.
  • Must have great intrapersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at various social levels across many diverse cultures.
  • Willing and able to participate in a drug test (either pre-employment or random) with negative results.
  • Must be willing to pass a 10-year verifiable background check (employment, education, criminal and personal references).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge with Customs seal as distributed by local airport authority and US Customs and Border Patrol.
  • Must be able to pass any initial and recurrent training classes as administered by the company, and/or local airport authority.
  • Must have experience working with basic office equipment (copier, scanner, fax, printer).
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • A.C.E certification or willing to obtain one.

Language Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A proactive thinker with an outgoing personality who is comfortable speaking in front of groups and interacting with company colleagues and employees.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Work is performed in mainly outdoor environments, and involves exposure to noise, chemical, and other contaminants, moving mechanical hazards, and extremes of temperature and weather conditions. Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses; sufficient auditory ability, with or without audio logical devices; able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 120 decibels; capable of being on one's feet for extended periods of time and lifting 50 pounds unassisted.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Must understand their role as a manager, and exhibit sound judgment and decision making as it applies to their responsibility.
  • They must have the ability to follow directions and outlined policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to recognize a hazardous situation or breach of security and act accordingly in proper manner.
  • Must be able to maintain strictly professional relationship with subordinates and fellow staff members at or in the workplace, both on and off duty.
  • Ability to act/react quickly.
  • Able to follow proper chain of command, and include the appropriate people in decision making.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain proper etiquette with attention to cultural faux pas amongst all clients, co-workers, and the general public.
