Job Overview:

Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville is seeking a skilled Medical Office Coordinator to support our Emergency Department by ensuring timely and accurate patient registration.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year

Job Description:

The Medical Office Coordinator will be responsible for registering patients in various settings, including the Emergency Department, Outpatient, Admissions, and Pre-Registration. This role requires collecting complete and accurate demographic and insurance information while adhering to Tennova Healthcare - Clarksville's guidelines.

This position must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to function effectively under stress. Proficiency in using computers, printers, fax machines, credit card machines, and scanners is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of prior experience in the healthcare industry (preferably)
  • Previous registration experience (preferably)
  • Effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, coworkers, and hospital departments
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in medical terminology (successful completion of a class at an accredited institution or working experience)
