Job Description

Analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and obtain financial information for use in preparing financial reports. This role is primarily responsible for account reconciliations and sales tax compliance for the e-commerce business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for account reconciliations for the e-commerce business, reconciling data extracted from the global system with the ERP system for sales and inventory.
  • Identify sales and presales transactions, as well as cash transactions, including payment types, sales tax, bank fees, and other expenses.
  • Review and analyze e-commerce-related financial transactions, including sales transactions generated by the global system and the ERP system.
  • Prepare sales tax returns or equivalent taxes for various states (currently 8 and growing to 50).
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including preparing and booking journal entries.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, inter-company, and some income statement account reconciliations.
  • Assist in financial statement preparation and support the semi-annual review and year-end audit process.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly financial reports for the parent company and local and federal government reports.
  • Assist in preparing royalty reports and perform ad-hoc special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree.
  • Direct-to-consumer, e-commerce accounting and sales tax experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience required.
