Position Purpose:
This role serves as an expression of interest for part-time Selected Reserve (SELRES) positions within DIU.
Role Specifications:
DIU's Navy Administrative Support Part-Time SELRES positions are specifically designated for enlisted members currently associated with the Navy Reserve as Selected Reservists (SELRES), with a preference for E-6 ranks.
Responsibilities:
Navy SELRES personnel will provide essential support to DIU's Portfolio and Engagement teams, leveraging their military and civilian expertise. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, typing, and distributing correspondence and reports
- Organizing and managing files
- Overseeing office personnel administration
- Maintaining records and official documents
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to legal matters
- Serving as office managers
- Executing various clerical and administrative duties
- Updating and entering data into Enlisted Service Records
- Facilitating personnel transitions, including transfers and retirements
- Composing official letters and reports
- Managing travel claims and financial reporting
- Providing pay and entitlement information to Navy personnel
