Position Summary:
The Chief Information Services Officer embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, adhering to the organization's ethical standards and compliance protocols. This role is pivotal in overseeing all facets of Information Services for designated entities or areas.

The Chief Information Services Officer will be responsible for managing relationships and ensuring effective service delivery in Information Services, which includes systems planning, project execution, and continuous improvements. Participation in strategic planning initiatives and resource allocation will be essential, along with establishing strong relationships with key operational and clinical leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the recognized leader for Information Services within the assigned business unit.
  • Oversee the management of application systems and facilitate transitions to standardized technologies.
  • Provide strategic direction in project prioritization and service request management.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation for prioritized initiatives and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Manage ongoing capacity to implement improvements and adhere to best practices.
  • Engage in planning for new facilities and support major projects as required.
  • Lead a team of managers and analysts to fulfill alignment leader responsibilities.
  • Maintain accountability for the performance of Information Services in the designated area.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer relationship management at the site level.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and delivery.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in coordination, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
  • Able to navigate complex, cross-organizational systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Background in healthcare technology.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
