Job Summary

Beverly Park Place is seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing infection prevention strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement annual infection prevention goals and action plans in collaboration with the Medical Director and facility leaders.
  • Partner with local, state, and national agencies to stay up-to-date on infection prevention best practices and regulations.
  • Oversee the operations of the infection prevention, epidemiology, and industrial hygiene programs.
  • Conduct surveillance of healthcare-acquired and community-acquired infections.
  • Manage the goal-setting process for system, unit, and physician goals related to healthcare-acquired infections and conditions.
  • Lead the industrial hygiene program to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, mitigate, and control workplace conditions.
  • Participate in national collaboratives and external reporting to the CDC NHSN system and other post-acute care-specific quality organizations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, medical technology, public health, or other healthcare science.
  • Specialty training in Infection Prevention and Control through accredited continuing education.
  • Nationally certified in Infection Prevention and Control by NADONA (IP-BC Credential) or completion of certification within 6 months of employment.
