Position Overview

The Senior AI Solutions Architect at HCLTech is tasked with spearheading the design and execution of sophisticated AI frameworks and strategic infrastructures, primarily leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, while also considering other platforms. Collaborating closely with technology leaders from our diverse client base, you will serve as their senior Trusted Advisor throughout their AI-driven transformation journey.

This position requires an extensive comprehension of AI and associated technologies operating in Edge, on-premises, and Public Cloud settings, with a particular focus on GCP. As a leader in our field, you will be well-versed in Generative AI and its implications for both individual employees and broader organizational strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a recognized thought leader with robust architectural and engineering expertise, deeply committed to technology-driven business transformation, and showcasing a strong inclination towards innovation. In this capacity, you will frequently engage with CxO level clients and AI industry pioneers, offering expert insights and contributing to HCLTech's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Engineering Leadership

  • Design and develop comprehensive AI solutions and technology architectures, incorporating the latest advancements in AI technology into top-tier solutions, with a primary focus on GCP.
  • Facilitate high-level architectural discussions with clients, providing expert recommendations on best practices for AI implementations across AI PC, Edge, Data Center, and Public Cloud environments.
  • Ensure that solutions adhere to contemporary best practices across various platforms and environments, demonstrating a profound understanding of GPU/NPU, Cognitive Infrastructure, Application, and Copilot/agent domains.
  • Contribute to HCLTech's thought leadership in the AI & Cloud sectors, showcasing a deep understanding of open-source technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, OPEA) and partner technologies.
  • Collaborate on joint technical initiatives with global partners, including Google, Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, IBM, Red Hat, Intel, and Dell.

Service Delivery & Innovation

  • Architect innovative AI solutions from concept to MVP, swiftly delivering genuine business value.
  • Enhance AI and cloud architectures to fulfill client needs, balancing efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and analyze existing complex solutions, recommending architectural enhancements to modernize applications with the latest AI technologies.
  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge GenAI technologies, leading initiatives that expand the boundaries of AI integration across diverse environments.

Thought Leadership and Client Engagement

  • Provide expert architectural and strategic guidance to clients on integrating Generative AI into their business and technology frameworks.
  • Conduct workshops, briefings, and strategic discussions to inform clients about AI benefits and applications, fostering strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, contributing to technical projects with a strong emphasis on technical excellence and timely delivery.
  • Author whitepapers, blogs, and present at industry events, maintaining a prominent presence as a thought leader in AI and related technologies.
  • Engage with multiple clients simultaneously, establishing high-impact consultative relationships.
  • Work closely with internal teams and global partners to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing across projects.
  • Maintain hands-on technical credibility, staying ahead of industry trends and mentoring others within the organization.

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience:

  • 10+ years in architecture design, primarily focused on GCP but not limited to it.
  • 7+ years in software engineering.

Technologies:

  • Professional-level expertise in Public Cloud environments, particularly GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.
  • Demonstrable coding proficiency in Python, Java, or Go languages.
  • Familiarity with MS Azure and/or AWS is advantageous.

AI Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms, GenAI models (e.g., GPT, BERT, DALL-E, GEMINI), and NLP techniques.
  • Experience with Vertex AI Workbench, Vertex AI Training, and Vertex AI Prediction.
  • Working knowledge of Copilot solutions in both software engineering and office productivity domains.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing conversational agents using Dialogflow, with a solid understanding of NLP and NLU.
  • Experience in deploying and fine-tuning generative models using Gemini and API integration.
  • Proficient in data processing tools: Dataflow, Dataproc.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Project Methodologies: Agile and Scrum project management.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of GenAI operations (LLMOps) and experience in governing AI models in production settings.
  • Proficiency in data engineering for AI, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and pipeline creation.
  • Expertise in AI model fine-tuning and evaluation, focusing on enhancing performance for specialized tasks.
  • Copilot design, engineering, and extensions.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI, including governance and ethics, with experience in implementing strategies to ensure fair and unbiased AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with Deep Learning Frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Awareness of innovation and emerging technology trends.
  • Strategic AI vision and road mapping.

Certifications:

  • Recognized professional certification from Google in an AI and/or Cloud-related domain.
