Position Overview

The Senior AI Solutions Architect at HCLTech is tasked with spearheading the design and execution of sophisticated AI solutions and architectural strategies, primarily leveraging Microsoft Azure services while remaining open to other platforms. Collaborating closely with technology leaders from our diverse client base, you will serve as their senior Trusted Advisor throughout their AI-driven transformation journey.

This position requires an extensive comprehension of AI and associated technologies operating in Edge, on-premises, and Public Cloud settings, with a particular focus on Azure. As a leader in our field, you will be well-versed in Generative AI and its implications for both individual employees and broader organizational strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a recognized thought leader with robust architectural and engineering expertise, deeply committed to technology-driven business transformation, and showcasing a strong inclination towards innovation. In this capacity, you will frequently engage with CxO level clients, AI industry pioneers, offer expert insights, and contribute to HCLTech's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Engineering Leadership

  • Craft comprehensive AI solutions and technology architectures, integrating the latest advancements in AI technology into premier solutions, with a primary focus on Azure.
  • Facilitate high-level architectural discussions with clients, providing expert recommendations on best practices for AI implementations across various environments including AI PC, Edge, Data Centre, and Public Cloud.
  • Ensure that solutions adhere to contemporary best practices across a wide array of platforms and environments, demonstrating a profound understanding of GPU/NPU, Cognitive Infrastructure, Application, and Copilot/agent domains.
  • Contribute to HCLTech's thought leadership in the AI & Cloud sectors, showcasing a deep understanding of open-source technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, OPEA) and partner technologies.
  • Collaborate on joint technical initiatives with global partners, including industry leaders such as Google, Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, IBM, Red Hat, Intel, and Dell.

Service Delivery & Innovation

  • Architect innovative AI solutions from concept to Minimum Viable Product (MVP), swiftly delivering genuine business value.
  • Enhance AI and cloud architectures to fulfill client needs, balancing efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and analyze existing complex solutions, recommending architectural enhancements to modernize applications with the latest AI technologies.
  • Champion the adoption of cutting-edge Generative AI technologies, leading initiatives that expand the boundaries of AI integration across diverse environments.

Thought Leadership and Client Engagement

  • Offer expert architectural and strategic guidance to clients on integrating Generative AI into their business and technology frameworks.
  • Conduct workshops, briefings, and strategic discussions to inform clients about the benefits and applications of AI, fostering strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, contributing to technical projects with a strong emphasis on technical excellence and timely delivery.
  • Produce whitepapers, blogs, and present at industry events, maintaining a prominent presence as a thought leader in AI and related technologies.
  • Engage with multiple clients simultaneously, providing impactful consultative relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and global partners to ensure seamless cooperation and knowledge sharing across projects.
  • Maintain hands-on technical credibility, staying ahead of industry trends and mentoring others within the organization.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in architecture design, primarily focused on Azure but not limited to it.
  • At least 7 years in software engineering.

Technologies:

  • Professional-level expertise in Public Cloud environments, particularly Azure services: Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Fabric, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Demonstrable coding proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
  • Familiarity with GCP and/or AWS is advantageous.

AI Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms, Generative AI models (e.g., GPT, BERT, DALL-E, GEMINI), and NLP techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Copilot solutions in both software engineering and office productivity contexts.
  • Experience with Azure Machine Learning Studio, Azure ML SDK, and Automated ML.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing chatbots using Azure Bot Framework, with a solid understanding of NLP and NLU.
  • Experience in deploying and fine-tuning generative models using OpenAI APIs.
  • Data Processing: Proficient in data processing tools such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Project Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.

Data Engineering: Skilled in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and pipeline creation for AI.

Model Fine-Tuning: Expertise in fine-tuning and evaluating AI models to enhance performance for specialized tasks.

Copilot Engineering: Experience in designing, engineering, and extending Copilot solutions.

Responsible AI: Knowledgeable in Responsible AI practices, including governance, ethics, and bias mitigation strategies.

Deep Learning: Proficient with frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Emerging Tech Trends: Keen awareness of innovation and emerging technology trends.

Strategic Vision: Ability to develop strategic AI visions and roadmaps.

Dynamic Environment: Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.

Certification:

  • Recognized professional certification from Microsoft in an AI and/or Cloud-related domain.
