Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Consulting Controller to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our financial management team, you will be responsible for leading our financial operations and accounting functions.
Responsibilities:- Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including receivables, payables, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end close procedures.
- Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, and other projects requested by senior management.
- Implement, upgrade, and monitor software systems to streamline financial operations and reporting.
- Perform variance analysis and prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Interact with various internal departments and external vendors, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues.
- Participate in the development of strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, providing expert financial input and leadership.
- Stay up-to-date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
- Proficient in balance sheet reconciliation, month-end close procedures, variance analysis, payables, and receivables.
- Experience in implementing and managing financial software systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
