We are seeking a highly skilled Material Conformance Specialist to join our team at Custom Truck One Source. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Document and process warranty/NCM claims with internal and external providers on non-conforming parts, materials, or workmanship.
- Coordinate claim requirements with all departments involved in the warranty/NCM processes.
- Direct or coordinate material conformance activities that meet production requirements, supply chain, warehousing, distribution, or other services to the business to improve accuracy, customer service, or safety.
- Respond to warranty/NCM issues found in production and document labor and parts costs incurred.
- Notify supplier of warranty/NCM issue to get warranty authorization and to begin claim process.
- Gather and record needed information to support warranty claim filing in a timely manner.
- Coordinate repairs and corrections with production and other departments as appropriate.
- Train production managers, supervisors, and line leads on warranty requirements and NCM processes for performing repairs and for filing claims.
- Develop and implement procedures for all departments involved in the warranty/NCM process to follow.
- Create reports for warranty/NCM issues to share with the management team.
- Report repeat defects to quality management for further action.
- Analyze and track open claims to ensure recovery of warrantable repairs.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Experience with dealership warranty claims process.
- Infor M3 software experience.
- Power BI Reporting.
- Understanding of manufacturing procedures and engineering principles.
- This position is performed in multiple settings, including but not limited to, office, warehouse, production floor, and outdoor areas.
- The position responsibilities will require time spent both indoors and outdoors where temperatures can vary in both cold and heat, including variations in weather conditions.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42", significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
- Ability to move parts as required following applicable safety procedures.
