About the Role

At Sedgwick, we're committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and customers. As an Auto Liability Bodily Injury Claims Examiner, you'll play a critical role in analyzing and processing complex claims, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible outcome.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process complex auto and commercial transportation bodily injury claims, including reviewing coverage and determining liability.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to evaluate the scope of damages and ensure accurate claim documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, including independent adjusters, to assist in the investigation of claims.
  • Report large claims to excess carriers and develop action plans to ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify and pursue subrogation and risk transfer opportunities, and secure and dispose of salvage.
  • Communicate claim actions and processing with insureds, clients, and agents or brokers as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Professional certification as applicable to the line of business preferred.
  • Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the position.
  • Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial line auto policies, coverages, principles, and laws.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology for claim evaluation and Medicare compliance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and meet or exceed service expectations.
