Job Summary

Radiology Partners in El Paso is seeking a Radiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to assist our radiologists in the management of patients for both the hospital and practice.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for participating in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with Radiology Partners goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in direct patient care services, including inpatient and outpatient consults, and follow up.
  • Assist in outpatient Interventional Radiology clinic and all duties necessary to support the clinic.
  • Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries.
  • Assist in facilitating patients for procedures including pre-authorizations, working with facilities to coordinate procedures as needed, processing orders, sending reports back to referring doctors.
  • Perform history and physical examinations and consents of radiology patients.
  • Verbal and written communications with referring physicians, nurses, other health care professionals regarding patients to assist and facilitate the medical management of the patients.
  • Educate patients regarding their procedures and care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited program.
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
