Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Chevron Stations Inc. (CSI). As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers, ensuring a positive experience at our retail stations.
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to CSI's image standards and safety guidelines.
  • Support and follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines, reporting any incidents or accidents to management immediately.
  • Preserve the safety of yourself, fellow employees, and customers by utilizing the CSI Loss Prevention process.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed, including proper sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures.
  • Work professionally with vendors and contractors, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is expected, with flexibility to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only).
  • Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on hard and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to bend, lift, push, and move product using proper lifting techniques.
  • Periodic exposure to all outdoor conditions during daylight hours.
  • Moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers at 34 F or lower.
  • Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness standards.
