About the Role

Pullman Company is seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, CA. As a key member of our Safety Management Team, you will be responsible for leading safety initiatives in the field and ensuring compliance with OSHA, customer, federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and best practices for our industrial, power, and commercial markets.
  • Work collaboratively with managers, employees, subcontractors, and clients to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Conduct and coordinate worker safety training, including safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
  • Investigate and document near miss and/or workplace incidents, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Mentor and manage on-site safety personnel, and lead them through their development program.
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S), Safety Management, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Certification from a recognized certification board, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety Auditor, or similar.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a full-time safety coordinator or trainer in a well-structured construction safety program.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations as they apply to construction.
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement effective corrective measures.
