POSITION TITLE: Elementary Education Specialist

CONTRACT TERM: Academic Year

SUPERVISOR: Principal

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

SALARY: Certified

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide high-quality instruction and support to students in a primary school setting.
  • To develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • To assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • To collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • To maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

ADHERENCE TO:

  • To uphold the values and mission of Naatsisaan Community School, Inc.
  • To demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for the Navajo people and their culture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field.
  • State K-12 Teacher Certification.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Knowledge of State Common Core Standards and Curriculum development.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
