Job Title: Membership Representative III

At Elevance Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Membership Representative III to join our team. As a key member of our membership team, you will be responsible for enrollment, billing activities, and maintaining assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to plan members, providers, and employer groups by answering benefit questions, resolving issues, and educating callers.
  • Verify enrollment status, make changes to records, research and resolve enrollment system rejections, and address a variety of enrollment questions or concerns received by phone or mail.
  • Responsible for all billing and delinquency processes for assigned groups, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the membership and billing function.
  • Respond to inquiries concerning enrollment processes and maintain enrollment database.
  • Order identification cards, determine eligibility, and apply contract language for each case assigned.
  • Perform error output resolution for electronic eligibility and process error discrepancy list, bill, collect premiums, and reconcile payments.
  • Maintain and reconcile premium bill, self-bill, and individual billed accounts, and notify clients of premium discrepancies through payment adjustment notices and detailed audits.
Requirements:
  • Requires high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years relevant membership experience, including a minimum of 2 years of membership experience with the company, or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
Work Environment:

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
