Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Engineering to join our team at Mattson Technology. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our company's products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strategic and tactical objectives and plans for our products and processes.
  • Design, develop, implement, and test all hardware, system, and process solutions for our products.
  • Supervise the establishment of equipment operating specifications and act as a liaison with customers (semiconductor manufacturers) and the product design/development teams.
  • Investigate complex issues involving in-depth knowledge of etch process equipment, process technology, semiconductor integration, and semiconductor devices.
  • Regularly interact directly with customers and provide technical presentations, process implementation, and technical negotiation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • 5 years of dry etch hardware and process R&D and implementation experience (in plasma dielectric & polysilicon etch).
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing NAND, DRAM, and Logic.
  • In-depth knowledge of process technology, integration, and device technology.
