Electronics Technician Job Description

Ultimate Auto Glass and Electronics is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for performing mobile electronics diagnostics, recalibrations, and repairs. You will also be responsible for repairing ADAS systems, including BSMs, radars, and forward-facing cameras.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mobile electronics diagnostics and recalibrations
  • Repair ADAS systems, including BSMs, radars, and forward-facing cameras
  • Module programming diagnostics, including repair and replacement
  • Wiring and harness repairs, including pigtail replacements and circuit diagnostics
  • Repair, replace, and diagnose airbag systems
  • Remove and reinstall interior components, including trim, dashes, consoles, etc.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 2 years' minimum experience in automotive electrical repairs and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of reading wire schematics and diagnosis of automotive electrical systems
  • Knowledge of airbag systems, disarming, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing
  • Knowledge of at least aftermarket diagnostic scan tools
  • Preferred experience in suspension, frame, subframe, motor, transmission replacement, and repair
  • Preferred experience in AC evacuation and recharge on R1234YF systems
  • Preferred experience in maintenance services for mechanical systems, such as transmissions and steering systems
Physical and Environmental Demands:
  • Must have a valid driver's license and pass an MVR check
  • Must be able to stand for long periods during vehicle repair
  • Must be able to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl frequently
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and/or caustic chemicals
  • Occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
