Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

Koniag Government Services is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Arlington, VA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to our employees.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Health Nurse will provide evaluation and treatment of ill and injured employees, administer and interpret medical tests, and perform various clinical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care and support to employees, including evaluation and treatment of illnesses and injuries
  • Administer and interpret medical tests, such as Mantoux tuberculin skin tests, ECGs, and vision exams
  • Perform various clinical and administrative duties, including triage, counseling, and documentation
  • Manage and maintain health promotion programs, short-term counseling, and referrals to outside health and EAP resources
  • Ensure adequate stocking of medical supplies and equipment
  • Perform Phase I physical examinations, including scheduling appointments, preparing necessary paperwork, and performing tasks required for the exam
  • Provide organized charts to physicians for review and ensure completion of routine paperwork for clinic visits
Requirements:
  • Active, current, unrestricted License as a RN in the jurisdiction of delivery of care
  • At least two (2) years of previous clinical experience as an RN
  • Completed Registered Nurse (RN) training from a university, college, school, or nursing program that is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), National Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)
  • Valid state driver's license
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time.
