Job Summary

Brevard Health Alliance Inc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Finance/Accounting Department, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of the purchasing department and purchasing specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the purchasing department and purchasing specialists to provide superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions.
  • Prepare and present market conditions and merchandise cost reports.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Draft, explain, and implement instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management.
  • Evaluate and approve conditions for issuing and awarding bids.
  • Resolve grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain and/or implement purchasing and recordkeeping systems.
  • Act as the company's representative in negotiations with suppliers.
  • Coordinate removal or disposal of surplus materials.
  • Administer the departmental budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in procurement, business, finance, or related field.
  • Three to five years of procurement experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Understanding of business and management principles.
  • Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
