Position Overview:

As the Substation Engineering Manager at Solvenow Inc., you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse team of engineers and technicians dedicated to delivering high-quality results on complex substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Oversee the execution of engineering designs, specifications for materials and equipment, and construction documentation for various substation initiatives.
  • Ensure that project budgets, timelines, and quality standards are met across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Facilitate communication with clients and project management to align project goals with client expectations.
  • Engage in business development activities, including client interactions and proposal preparation.
Leadership Duties:
  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, providing guidance on project execution and performance management.
  • Coordinate with various engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Travel as necessary to support field assignments and client meetings.
Qualifications:

Preferred:
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on building client relationships.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project development processes, including feasibility studies and design.
  • Advanced understanding of engineering design principles and standards.
  • Experience in substation facility design with a focus on optimizing layouts and understanding major equipment.
Minimum:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 11 years of relevant work experience in the field.
  • Ability to meet pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screening.
Certifications:

Professional registration or licensure may be required based on the nature of the work performed. Additional certifications may be necessary when working in different jurisdictions.
