Job Description

Job Title: Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist II

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary collection.
  • Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing by labeling and packaging them correctly.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and blood sample collection.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
