Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Graduate Intern to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Graduate Intern, you will be responsible for engaging in post-graduate pharmacy activities under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Counseling patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and contraindications.
  • Performing pharmacist tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, company policies, and procedures.
  • Supporting the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assisting the pharmacy manager in identifying ways to optimize financials and inventory management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited University outside the United States.
  • A Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
  • An intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required.
  • The willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 45 days of completion of intern hours.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
