Key Responsibilities:

  • Sanitize all dishes and kitchen utensils to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean environment.
  • Operate the dishwasher and record sanitizer levels daily to ensure optimal performance.
  • Report any equipment issues to the Food Service Manager promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Deliver and pick up food carts to designated areas, ensuring timely service to our residents and staff.
  • Empty trash cans after each meal and maintain a clean trash dumpster area.
  • Sweep and mop the kitchen floor after each meal, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Clean and sanitize carts as instructed by the Food Service Manager.
  • Clean the ice machine and other equipment as directed by the Food Service Manager.
  • Organize pots and pans on racks as instructed by the Food Service Manager.
  • Deliver food and beverage items to residents and staff members in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the dietary team to adjust duties and cover other assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
