Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team at Quality Vision International. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for the production of subassemblies and full machines to exacting tolerances through the use of engineering drawings and ISO work instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and adjust a variety of subassemblies and major assemblies, independently and reliably.
  • Produce specific assembly products of high quality; relies on prints, work instructions, experience, and repetition to accomplish results.
  • Inspect and test work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Write or assist in writing work instructions and train others on Assembler skills.
Requirements

Electro-Mechanical Technician II is the second of three levels of assembler job roles at QVI, representing a journeyman-level position with an expectation of knowledge and competency in the following:

  • Sciences: Intermediate math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Basic electronics concepts, including ESD, grounding, capacitors, resistors, PCBA's, power supplies, motors, and wiring.
  • Units of Measure (English and Metric) and conversions between.
  • Reading and writing in English at a high-school graduate level.
Tools and Equipment

You will be working with a variety of tools and equipment, including:

  • Basic hand tools, such as wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, and razors.
  • Advanced tools for shaping and forming materials, including files, grinders, and lapping plates.
  • Basic metrology instruments, including calipers, micrometers, scales, dial indicators, and gage blocks.
  • Advanced measurement instruments, including collimators, electronic levels, electronic indicators, and digital multi-meters.
  • Power tools, including drills, drill presses, belt sanders, and grinders.
Additional Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 3+ years of work experience in machine assembly or a similar discipline.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to navigate through the use of browsers and basic MS-Office programs.
Physical and/or Environmental Requirements

This role requires:

  • The ability to lift and carry heavy machinery parts weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Proficient manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work.
  • The stamina to stand for extended periods (full workday of 8 hours) during assembly processes.
  • The capacity to operate power tools and equipment safely.

We offer a competitive salary range of $20.25-$26.25, based on experience, as well as:
