Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Unit team at Carle Health. As a RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit, implementing procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and based on patient and family needs.
Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures, modifying the plan as necessary based on continuous evaluation.
Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents.

Requirements:

Diploma (Not HS) in Nursing
Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Illinois upon hire
Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.
